Zanzibar has been blessed with a good climate which allows flourishing of many spices some of which are only found in Zanzibar. Zanzibar has a nick name which is spice Island; one can definitely agree with this nick name because of variety of spices from different species that are found in Zanzibar. Some of the famous spices are including cloves, nutmeg, vanilla, ginger, and cinnamon, different varieties of pepper, turmeric, safrons, tandoori and masala. You will also be able to see different ornamental flowers, herbs, fruits, birds and butterflies among others fauna and flora.
You will be taken around a spice farm with a guide who will take you from plantation to plantation while showing you different varieties of spices while pilling some of them from trees or dig the roots of some of them from the ground, you will taste some of the fresh spice and fruits and feel the flavor for yourself, what an experience this is that someone ought not misses. You will also get a chance of being decorated by coconut leaves made by young boys in the farm as a present and ladies will have Zanzibar lipsticks painted on their mouths.
Most of Zanzibar famous spice farms in Zanzibar are found at kidich and kizimbani. These places are 30-40 minutes from Zanzibar Stone Town. Our drivers will take you to one of these places and we will be happy to spice your holiday.
Kizimkazi is one of the famous places in Zanzibar and East Africa for dolphins, this place gained popularity due to its blessing of having plenty of Dolphins; many visitors who visit the island feel that their holiday in Zanzibar is incomplete if they don’t visit Kizimkazi to see the Dolphins. The place is Southern part of the island, a two hour’s drive from Stone Town.
At kizimkazi, you will sail with a boat to the deep water where you will see several bottle-nosed Dolphins and Humpback Dolphins, normal it is advised that, the cruising should start early in the morning at about 7:30 to 8:30 a.m when there are few visitors cruising to see Dolphins, and it is also suggested to start the trip in the morning when most dolphins appear on sea surface to gather for food and when the water has favorable temperature for them.
If you wish to swim with Dolphins, our guide will give you a lifejacket and glasses which will help you while swimming, if you swim with them in your lucky day, you may be able to touch or even swim close to a group of dolphins.
Zanzibar is surrounded by many small islands which are found every corner of Zanzibar, one of the most famous islands is Prison Island which is in a panoramic view from Stone Town. The island is said to be a place where hard and disturbing slaves were kept.
This tour is a half day tour, it starts from stone town, you will use a boat to sail with our guide to the prison island, the trip normally takes 40 to 45minutes across the ocean, you will be given lifejackets incase of emergence. These boats can take up to 10 people at once. While you are there, you will see giant tortoise, beautiful peacocks, prisoner rooms and so much more. Some of these tortoises reach up to 130 years old, you will have a chance to take photo with them and feed them vegetable. The island is surrounded by white sand beach with swimming pool like – ocean water; you will swim if you like until you have it to the maximum.

Chumbe Island starts at a beautiful beach at Mbweni near Mbweni Ruin Hotel, our guide will lead you to the island by using a dhow or other small boats, the trip can take 40 to 45minutes. Chumbe Island is located south west of the island just few kilometers from Zanzibar harbor, if you came to Zanzibar from Tanzania mainland by speed ferry, you must have seen the island with a tower just 30 minutes before you reach to the harbor. The island is sometimes called Coral Park because of the coral rocks found in it and reef sanctuary. The island by large is covered by coral rag forest and coral reef.
While you are in the island, among other fun activities, you can also do snorkeling with well trained rangers, swimming, walking on the coral rocks, and also we will organize lunch for you. However, we would like to inform our customers that, it’s possible to have a day tour at Chumbe Island, but it is hard to make reservation for a day tour, the administration put priority to those who book for an overnight. If you wish to make reservation for an overnight, we would love to do that for you and we hope you will enjoy sleeping in bungalows surrounded by beautiful ocean and forest.
The forest is set to be a reserve area because it is the only natural forest remaining in the Island. It lies almost 35km (about 45 minutes drive) from Zanzibar Stone Town; it is located in Zanzibar South-east Region. The forest has about 100 trees species with almost over 40 different species communities, it covers 2,512 hectors (6,207 acres) of land including a gazette area which covered by water grounds, coral forest and salt marsh areas. Jozani forest is also partly made up by mangrove forest which makes a great ecosystem with different biodiversity spices and marine species. There also colubus monkey, velvet cats and other species which are only found in Zanzibar.
Together with our guide, you will be able to walk around the forest while listening to special guides who will explain about Jozani and its creatures. Along your walk with our guides, you will be able to see different small and big trees, shrubs, bushes, coral rocks, butterflies and birds, the guide will explain from how these species are surviving the nature and their ecosystem as they interact to each other.
The guides will also take you to see colubus monkey, you will be allowed to take photos to them but you won’t be allowed to feed them. Our guides will also take you to mangrove forest through a wooden bridge where you will see different species of mangrove and prawns. The tour at Jozani is normally two – three hours.
The Stone town, a town of many interesting stories with many wonders. it was built over 200 years ago and still maintain its beauty and stunning arrangement of narrow streets. This tour is normally a walking tour, our guide will take you around through narrow streets, while you are walking, you will see and hear many interesting stories about Zanzibar History and legends, colonial legacy from both Arabs and Western imperialists.
The trip will start from your Hotel and go to different places like fruits market, Former Slave Market (Christ Church Cathedral) built by Bishop Steers in 1873, Bet-el Jahib (House of Wonder), Zanzibar National Museum, Old Fort, our guide will also take you to Dr. Livingstone House. After the quite long walk, our guide will take you a place for lunch before you can proceed to Maruhub to see the Sultan’s Palace which is now a Ruin. While you are walking with our guide, you will see Zanzibar doors, handcrafts, and local shops among others.
After that, during the night our guide will come to pick you at the Hotel and take you to the food market, this is a wide open space where many people hang-out and eat sea foods and other local dishes, after that he will take you back to your Hotel until next day.
This tour will start in the morning hours around 10:00 a.m, our guide will come and take you from the Hotel and take you to the sea shore where you will board into the Zanzibar dhow. The cost to pick customers who will be taken from Stone Town hotels will differ from those who will be taken from Beach Hotels (away Hotels).
From the shore in Stone Town, you will board to the dhow with our guide and sail with you to the prison Island where you will see the Prisons and jails where the slaves were kept during colonial era. In the Prison Island, you will also see tortoise and beautiful peacocks.
After Prison Island, you will again board into a dhow to Bawe Island, some tours prefer to do snorkeling here, but we will take you to the better place at sandbank where you will mostly enjoy the snorkeling. Bawe Island is made up by coral rocks; you will also see beautiful fishes while you are in this island.
After Bawe Island, we will sail you to the sandbank. Be reminded that, sandbank tour depends on tides and weather, if the tides are too high, it become difficult to stay on the sandbank, and also if there is too much rainfall; it’s also become hard to go to the sandbank. While you are there, you will do some snorkeling and scuba diving and swimming; our guide will provide you with all necessary equipments. There will be a teacher who will instruct you with all necessary information while diving and snorkeling. While we you are at sandbank, you will have delicious lunch with drinks after a long day across the sea.
After sandbank, the sun will already be set and the dark will have started to cover the sky, our guide will take you slowly to Stone Town while having a panoramic view of Zanzibar Stone Town while the sunset. From here you will be taken back to your hotel to be prepared for dinner, we believe you will have explored the sea and have well used your day.
This is a fully day tour with our guide, one of the best place in Zanzibar for Safari Blue is Fumba Village, South-West of Zanzibar Island. In this tour, you will see the dolphins, sandbanks and other small islands, and Menai Bay which is a Conservation area.
The trip will begin in the morning when you will have a chance to walk and relax on a sandbank made up by white and soft sand. While you are there, you will do snorkeling and swimming, our guide will provide you with snorkeling equipments for both experienced and beginners, You will have ample time to relax, swim, snorkeling and enjoy your day. Here you will have break-fast with us before we take you to Kwale Island.
After spend half day at sandbank, we will carry you in a beautiful Zanzibar dhow to Kwale Island where you will see lagoons made up of coral rocks which have clean swimming pool-like water and surrounded by mangrove forest; you will have a delicious lunch, snacks, and soft drinks like soda, water and juice, for those who would prefer hard drinks, we got for you beer and other hard drinks.
Before the day ends, we will take you to Menai Bay to see the indo-pacific humpback and bottle-nose dolphins and you will also see the sandbank from there.
